 Structure: “Not only. but also.” – Tham khảo thờm
Cấu trỳc Not only but also là một cấu trỳc ngữ phỏp trong tiếng Anh, cú nghĩa là: 
“Khụng chỉ . mà cũn.” Dựng để nhấn mạnh về đặc tớnh, hành động của một sự vật, sự 
việc nào đú.Hay núi cỏch khỏc:Not only, but also dựng để nối hai từ, cụm từ, hai ý cú cựng vị 
trớ, tớnh chất trong cõu và thường vế thứ hai, tức là vế sau “but also” sẽ được nhấn mạnh 
hơn.
Ex: She is not only beautiful but also intelligent. (Cụ ấy khụng chỉ đẹp mà cũn thụng minh)
Ex: I hate not only playing soccer but also swimming. (Tụi khụng chỉ ghột chơi búng đỏ mà 
cũn ghột cả bơi.)
Cõu bỡnh thường: He is handsome and wealthy.
Cõu với Not only but also : He is not only handsome but also wealthy. A. Transformation

 I. PHRASAL VERBS
1. Phrasal verbs
Động từ kộp (Phrasal verbs) là động từ được cấu tạo bởi một động từ (a verb) với một giới từ 
(a preposition) : turn on = switch on, turn off = switch off, look after = take care of, look for, 
go on = continue,..
 1. turn off = switch off : đúng, tắt
 2. turn on = switch on : mở, bật
 3. look for : tỡm
 4. look after = take care of : chăm súc, trụng nom
 5. go on = keep on = continue : tiếp tục
 6. give up : từ bỏ
 7. take off : cởi ra, cất cỏnh
 8. carry out : thực hiện
Tỳc từ là danh từ cú thể đứng trước hoặc sau giới từ.
S + V + giới từ + tỳc từ.
e.g.: You should turn off the lights before leaving home.
(Bạn nờn tắt đốn trước khi rời khỏi nhà.)
e.g : He’s trying on a jacket. (Anh ấy đang mặc ỏo khoỏc.)
